World Diabetes Day Today: See How Social Security Evaluates This Illness

Earlier this year, Social Security (SSA) updated its regulations on determining disability based on diabetes. This can be a devastating disability in its advanced stages. SSA promised more specific guidance, and issued the new ruling, 14-2p. Essentially, Social Security always looks at a diagnosis, and then even MORE closely at functional impairment.
