In June, Social Security revised the criteria in its Listing of Impairment regulations that are used to evaluate claims involving respiratory disorders in adults and children. The revisions reflect “program experience and advances in medical knowledge” since they last comprehensively revised this body system in 1993. It included in its evaluation the comments received from medical experts and the public during the comment period. The new regulations include some changes in how tests are administered and evaluated. See the regulations here:
