Often a claimant presents more than one disabling condition.  What happens when you have multiple disabilities that may qualify for benefits? If you have one disease that causes chronic pain in addition to a mental impairment like depression, it’s important to clarify these in your application. While one impairment may not qualify for benefits on its own, combined impairments may act  help get you benefits.  Other factors include your age,  education, work experience, and these are considered along with your combination of conditions. There often many factors that influence whether or not you receive benefits.  A person with a limited education, for example, does not have as many options for different work as some others, given the disabling conditions.
